Quartzsite continues to find itself mired in a storm of media attention amidst the controversial way the town has been governed, culminating in a video that went viral bringing the spotlight to this hot and dusty small town situated on I-10 between L.A. and Phoenix.

Things aren't changing much -- the clerk with the Quartzsite Police Department and one of the Quartzsite 10* has been placed on administrative leave. Another officer's friend -- an employee of the town -- was seen photographing a Quartzsite Police car with a blue ribbon displayed on it, the ribbon reportedly intended to show support of the Chief of Police.

That employee was also promptly placed on administrative leave and subsequently fired from his position with the Town of Quartzsite.

Sgt. Ponce, who was scheduled to make an appearance on Fox News' Judge Napolitano show 'Freedom Watch' Monday was replaced at the last minute by AZCOPS.ORG representative John Stair because of the hospitalization of Sgt. Ponce's grandmother. His appearance is to be rescheduled.
